Electrical Consultant in Dubai
Power, lighting and distribution designed around the real connected load, and documented the way DEWA expects to see it.
What does an electrical consultant do?
An electrical consultant designs how power reaches every part of a building safely. The work covers the connected and demand load, single line diagrams, distribution boards, cable and breaker sizing, earthing, lighting and small power layouts, and the documents needed for the utility connection.
Our electrical contracting team can install the approved design. For a project that also needs cooling and water, see the full MEP consultancy service, or the solar installation page for rooftop PV connections.
Electrical design is unforgiving: an undersized cable overheats, an oversized one wastes money on every metre, and a load schedule that does not add up delays the DEWA connection. As an electrical consultant in Dubai we build the design from the load upwards. Each board has a schedule, each cable has a voltage drop check, and the single line diagram ties them together.
We produce lighting layouts with lux level calculations, small power and data layouts, emergency lighting, earthing and lightning protection, and the coordination with ELV systems and BMS that often gets missed. For buildings adding rooftop PV, we design the tie-in alongside our solar team.
Fit-out companies, landlords and contractors hire us as electrical design consultants in Dubai when they need an electrical load calculation for DEWA approval, a load increase study for a change of use, or a full design package under our MEP consultant service. Installation is handled by our electrical contracting team.

When to call us
You do not need a finished brief. If any of these sounds familiar, let's talk.
- You are changing the use of a space and need to know if the supply is enough.
- You need a load schedule and single line diagram for a DEWA submission.
- Breakers trip or cables run hot and you want the design checked.
How we work
Brief and survey
We review drawings, visit the site where needed and agree the scope and the standard to design to.
Calculate
We run the calculations and record the inputs and assumptions so they can be checked.
Design and document
Drawings, schedules and a clear report, issued for your review.
Support through approval and site
We answer review comments and stay available while the work is built.
Where we work
- Villas and residential
- Offices and commercial buildings
- Hotels and hospitality
- Healthcare
- Warehouses and industrial units
- Mixed-use developments

Electrical Consultant: questions, answered
Do you prepare drawings for DEWA approval?
We prepare the load schedules, single line diagrams and layouts in the form DEWA reviews, and we respond to comments. The submission itself is made through the project's registered contractor or consultant account.
Can you calculate whether we need a load increase?
Yes. We total the new connected load, apply diversity and compare it with your sanctioned load, then advise on next steps.
Do you do lighting calculations?
Yes, including lux level calculations for offices, retail, warehouses and external areas.
Can you design EV charger or solar connections?
Yes. Both change the building's load profile, so we check the upstream boards and cables as part of the design.
Can you design standby power?
Yes. We size and coordinate generators, transfer switches and distribution for standby and emergency loads, and can coordinate the fuel system too.
What is a DEWA load schedule?
It is the table that lists every distribution board, its connected load, the demand factor applied and the resulting maximum demand. DEWA uses it, together with the single line diagram, to approve the supply size and the main incomer. Errors here are the most common reason electrical submissions come back with comments.
Do you design for EV chargers and future load growth?
Yes. We check spare capacity at the main board, size cables and breakers for the chargers you plan now, and leave documented spare ways for later ones, so adding chargers does not mean a new DEWA load increase application every time.
