Fire Alarm Contracting in Dubai
Fire detection installed, programmed and tested device by device, with the cause and effect proven before handover.
What is included in fire alarm installation?
Fire alarm installation includes fire-rated cabling, detectors, manual call points, sounders and strobes, the control panel and repeaters, interface modules to other building systems, programming, and a full test of every device and every cause-and-effect action.
Designs come from our fire alarm consultants. The sprinkler side is handled by fire fighting contracting.
A fire alarm that has not been fully tested is an assumption. For fire alarm contracting in Dubai we test every detector and call point, confirm every sounder, and walk through the cause and effect matrix with the other trades present: lifts, access control doors, AHUs, smoke fans and dampers each have to respond as designed.
Our fire alarm system installation work covers addressable fire alarm panels and loops, conventional systems for small premises, voice evacuation, emergency telephone and beam or aspirating detection for special areas. Modifications for fit-outs are a regular part of it: relocating devices to suit new partitions and updating the panel programming and drawings.
We offer fire alarm installation and maintenance for buildings in Dubai within our ELV contracting service, working next to fire fighting contracting so detection and suppression are commissioned together. Design is provided by our fire alarm consultant team. Fire alarm work in Dubai must be carried out under the appropriate Civil Defence approvals, and we set out how that is covered for your project before starting.

Fire Alarm Contracting: questions, answered
Can fire alarm devices be moved during a fit-out?
Yes, following an approved design. The affected zone is isolated safely, devices are relocated and the system is retested.
How often should a fire alarm be tested?
Routine tests and periodic maintenance visits are standard. We set the schedule from the applicable code and the building's requirements.
Can an old panel be replaced without rewiring?
Sometimes, if the existing cabling is in good condition and compatible. We survey before advising.
Do you fix false alarms?
Yes. We trace the cause, which is often detector type, contamination or wiring, and correct it.
What is the difference between conventional and addressable fire alarms?
A conventional system reports which zone is in alarm; an addressable system reports the exact device. Addressable systems cost more per device but make finding a fire, or a faulty detector, much faster, which is why most commercial buildings in Dubai use them.
