What is included in VFD contracting?

VFD contracting covers supply of the variable frequency drive, building or modifying the panel, installing power and control cabling, setting the drive's parameters for the motor and application, connecting it to the control system and commissioning it under load.

Drive selection and energy studies come from our VFD consultants. Drives on HVAC plant are usually linked to the BMS. Drives for booster sets are part of our water pumping systems.

A drive straight out of the box will turn a motor. Making it run a pump set efficiently, ramp without water hammer, restart after a power dip and report faults to the control room takes proper setup. For VFD contracting in Dubai we commission each drive on its real load and keep a record of the final parameters.

VFD installation is carried out with attention to what shortens drive life: heat, dust and poor cabling. Variable frequency drive panels are ventilated or cooled for plant-room temperatures, motor cables are screened and correctly earthed, and filters or reactors are fitted where the harmonic assessment calls for them.

We provide VFD supply and commissioning for pumps and AHUs in Dubai, as well as chillers, cooling towers, compressors and conveyors. Drives are integrated with PLC and BMS control as part of our industrial automation contracting service: design, installation, commissioning and support. Sizing and payback studies come from our VFD consultant team.

Can you retrofit VFDs to existing pumps and fans?

Yes. We check the motor and cabling, install the drive and commission it with the existing controls.

Do you repair or replace faulty drives?

We diagnose first. Some faults are settings or cooling problems; if the drive itself has failed we replace it and restore the parameters.

Is a bypass needed?

On critical equipment a bypass lets the motor run direct if the drive fails. We advise case by case.

Which drive brands do you supply?

The main industrial brands, chosen for local support and compatibility with your control system.

Do VFDs need special cables?

Yes, for the motor side. Screened, symmetrical VFD cable with proper 360-degree glanding reduces interference and protects motor bearings. Long cable runs may also need output filters, which we check at design stage.
