PLC Consultant in Dubai
Logic that is designed before it is written, documented while it is written, and tested before it runs your plant.
What does a PLC consultant do?
A PLC consultant defines what a programmable logic controller needs to do and how: the inputs and outputs, the sequences and interlocks, the hardware platform and the program structure. They also audit existing programs and plan the replacement of obsolete controllers.
When the design is ready, our PLC contracting team builds and programs the panels. Faults on a running system go to PLC and SCADA troubleshooting.
A PLC program that only its author understands is a liability. When that person leaves, every fault becomes a guessing game. As a PLC consultant in Dubai we design logic so that the next engineer can read it: structured blocks, named tags, commented networks and a written description that matches the code.
For new systems we produce the I/O list, select the controller and modules, and specify the program to IEC 61131-3 practice in ladder, function block or structured text as the application suits. For existing plants we act as a PLC programming consultant: auditing the program, finding the causes of nuisance trips and proposing changes that can be tested offline first.
PLC migration is a large part of our work. If you need a PLC upgrade consultant for obsolete controllers, we map the old program, convert and restructure it for the new platform, and plan a cutover that fits your shutdown window. This service is part of our industrial automation consultant offering and links directly to SCADA and VFD design. Build and commissioning are covered by PLC contracting.

When to call us
You do not need a finished brief. If any of these sounds familiar, let's talk.
- Nobody on site fully understands the current PLC program.
- The controller is discontinued and you cannot risk a failure without spares.
- A machine needs a new sequence and you want it designed properly.
How we work
Designed, installed, commissioned and supported: one team across all four stages.
Design
Process study, functional description, panel and network design.
Installation
Panels, drives, instruments and cabling installed and terminated.
Commissioning
I/O checks, sequence tests and performance runs on the live process.
Support
Training, documentation, remote assistance and maintenance after handover.
Where we work
- Manufacturing plants
- Water and wastewater
- Utilities and energy
- Food and beverage
- Building plant rooms
- Oil and gas support facilities

PLC Consultant: questions, answered
Can you work on a PLC program written by someone else?
Yes, provided we can get the program from the controller or a backup. We document what it does before changing it.
Which programming languages do you use?
Ladder, function block diagram and structured text, following IEC 61131-3. We match the style your maintenance team is comfortable with.
How risky is a PLC migration?
Less than running an obsolete controller with no spares. We reduce risk with offline simulation, a staged cutover and a rollback plan.
Do you supply the PLC hardware?
We can specify it for your procurement or supply it as part of a contracting scope.
When is a PLC considered obsolete?
When the manufacturer has stopped selling it and later stops supporting spares and repairs. Siemens S5 and older Allen-Bradley PLC-5 and SLC 500 families are common examples in UAE plants. Running on them is a risk because one failed card can mean days of downtime waiting for second-hand parts.
