PLC & SCADA Troubleshooting in Dubai
When a line keeps stopping, you need the root cause, not another reset. We find it, fix it and leave your system easier to support.
How do you troubleshoot a PLC or SCADA fault?
We start with the symptoms and history: what stopped, when and what changed. Then we back up the system, check alarms and diagnostics, inspect I/O, wiring, power and communications, and test the logic against real signals until we find the root cause. We fix it, document it and suggest how to stop it recurring.
If the fault points to obsolete hardware, our PLC consultants can plan a migration. Our guide on PLC vs SCADA explains which layer usually fails.
Intermittent faults are the expensive ones: a sensor that drops out once a shift, a network that stalls, an alarm nobody can explain. We look at the whole chain, from field device to panel to program to screen, because the cause is often not where the symptom appears.
Whether you need a one-off fault fixed or ongoing support for a plant, we begin by backing up the system, so nothing we do can make your position worse. If the fix points to a bigger problem, such as obsolete hardware or fragile logic, we explain the options clearly and let you decide.
Troubleshooting often leads naturally to improvements: better alarms and screens, a tidier program structure or a planned upgrade. We'll show you where those would pay off.
What's included
Fault-finding on running plants
Structured diagnosis of stoppages, trips and intermittent faults.
Communication faults
Network, fieldbus and device communication problems traced and fixed.
Repairs and replacements
Panel, I/O and device repairs, with like-for-like or upgraded replacements.
Nuisance alarm clean-up
Alarm reviews that reduce noise and highlight real problems.
Backups and documentation
Programs backed up and drawings updated so you're protected next time.
Health checks and planned support
Regular checks and support visits for critical systems, agreed with you.
When to call us
You don't need a finished brief. If any of these sounds familiar, let's talk.
- A machine stops repeatedly and the cause isn't obvious.
- Alarms or communication faults come and go with no pattern.
- The person who built the system has left and nobody has the program.
- You want a health check before a busy production period.
How we work
Understand the process
We capture how your plant runs, the I/O and the reporting you need.
Design and programme
We design the control architecture and write the PLC and SCADA logic.
Test before site
We test the logic and screens off-line before anything is installed.
Commission and support
We commission with your operators, train them and stay available afterwards.
Where we work
- Manufacturing
- Oil and gas
- Water and utilities
- Building plant and HVAC controls

Troubleshooting & Support questions, answered
Can you help urgently?
Tell us how urgent it is and what has stopped, and we'll tell you honestly what we can do and when. A few basics up front (equipment, symptoms, error codes) make the first visit far more productive.
Do you need the original program?
It helps, but it isn't always essential. We can back up what's on the controller, and often diagnose from live data and the panel drawings.
Can you support systems installed by other companies?
Yes. We start with a review and backup, then tell you what we found and how we can help.
Will troubleshooting cause more downtime?
We try to diagnose with the plant running wherever it is safe, and agree any stoppage with you in advance.
What are the most common causes of PLC stoppages?
Failing power supplies, loose or corroded terminations, faulty field devices such as sensors and limit switches, network faults between PLC and remote I/O, and program changes that were never tested. Most stoppages turn out to be outside the PLC itself.
What if nobody has the original PLC program?
It can usually be uploaded from the running PLC, but without the comments and symbols. We upload it, back it up, then rebuild the documentation as we trace the fault so you are not in the same position next time.
