Fire Alarm Consultant in Dubai
Detection that finds a fire early and tells every other system in the building what to do next.
What does a fire alarm consultant do?
A fire alarm consultant designs how a fire is detected and announced: detector types and locations, call points, sounders and voice evacuation, the control panel and loops, and the cause-and-effect logic that tells other building systems how to respond.
The systems we design are installed by our fire alarm contracting team. Sprinklers and hydrants are covered by fire fighting consultancy.
A fire alarm is judged on two things: how early it detects a real fire, and how rarely it cries wolf. Both depend on design. As a fire alarm consultant in Dubai we choose detector types for the conditions in each space, since a smoke detector that is right for an office is wrong for a kitchen or a dusty workshop, and lay them out to the coverage rules in the code.
Our fire alarm system design covers addressable loops, panel and repeater locations, sounders and visual alarms, voice evacuation, emergency telephones and interfaces. The cause and effect matrix is the heart of it: on alarm, which lifts recall, which doors release, which fans stop or start, which dampers close. We write it clearly so the installer, the commissioning engineer and the building operator share the same understanding.
We prepare fire alarm design for Civil Defence approval in Dubai following the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code and NFPA 72, for submission by the approved parties on the project. The work is coordinated with our fire fighting consultant and the wider ELV consultant package, and fire alarm contracting is available for installation.

When to call us
You do not need a finished brief. If any of these sounds familiar, let's talk.
- A fit-out has changed the layout and detection needs redesigning.
- The building suffers repeated false alarms.
- You need a cause-and-effect matrix the whole team can agree on.
How we work
Brief and survey
We review drawings, visit the site where needed and agree the scope and the standard to design to.
Calculate
We run the calculations and record the inputs and assumptions so they can be checked.
Design and document
Drawings, schedules and a clear report, issued for your review.
Support through approval and site
We answer review comments and stay available while the work is built.
Where we work
- Offices and towers
- Villas and communities
- Retail and malls
- Warehouses and logistics
- Schools and clinics
- Hotels

Fire Alarm Consultant: questions, answered
Conventional or addressable fire alarm?
Addressable systems identify the exact device in alarm and suit most commercial buildings. Conventional systems are simpler and are generally limited to small premises.
What is a cause and effect matrix?
A table showing what the fire alarm system does when each device or zone activates: which sounders operate and which other building systems are signalled.
Why does our system false-alarm so often?
Common causes are the wrong detector type for the environment, dust or steam, and poor maintenance. We investigate and recommend specific changes.
Does the fire alarm connect to Civil Defence?
Buildings in Dubai are generally required to connect to the Civil Defence monitoring system through its approved provider. We allow for that interface in the design.
Is a fire alarm connection to Civil Defence required in Dubai?
Many premises in the UAE must connect their fire alarm panel to Hassantuk, the Civil Defence remote monitoring programme, so an alarm reaches the authority automatically. Whether and how it applies depends on the building type, so we confirm it at the start of the design.
