Industrial Automation work in Business Bay

There are few factories in Business Bay, but its towers run plant that needs reliable control: chilled water pumps, booster sets, car park ventilation, generators and fuel systems. Much of that equipment has its own PLC or controller that must talk to the BMS. Solve Tech Vision brings industrial automation practice to these buildings, integrating, upgrading and documenting the controls so facility teams can rely on them.

See industrial automation contracting and BMS contracting for the building side.

Every plant has a story: a control system added in stages, a panel nobody has drawings for, an alarm everyone has learned to ignore. We start by understanding how your process really runs, then design controls to fit it, rather than forcing a generic template on it.

What's included

PLC programming

Clear, documented control logic written for your process and tested before installation.

SCADA and HMI screens

Operator screens, alarms and trends that show people what they need when they need it.

Control panel design and build

Panels designed for the process, the environment and the maintenance team.

Installation and commissioning

I/O checks, loop tests, acceptance tests and operator training on site.

Industrial Automation in Business Bay: questions, answered

What's the difference between a PLC and SCADA?

A PLC controls machines and processes directly. SCADA is the supervisory layer that shows the process to operators, records data and raises alarms. Most plants use both.

Can you take over a system someone else programmed?

Yes. We start with a review: we back up the program, read the logic, check the panel drawings and tell you honestly what's in good shape and what isn't. Then we can support it as it is or plan a phased upgrade.

Can you upgrade an old control system without long shutdowns?

Often, yes. We plan the changeover in stages, test off-line where possible and schedule cut-overs for planned downtime.

Why integrate plant PLCs with the building BMS?

So facility staff see every alarm and status in one place and the BMS can coordinate plant, such as staging pumps with chiller demand. Integration is usually done over BACnet or Modbus without changing the plant's own control logic.
